This year marks the 16th annual Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month (SHVAM). In 2016, are recognizing survivors and how they inform, influence and impact policy.

This can be an especially tough time of year for us as survivors. In the midst of celebrating, the holidays are also a painful reminder that something is missing, someone is missing. What we do while in that pain is very important.
