Volunteer Positions



Here’s how you can help transform society’s response to homicide!

1. Spread the word about our work. 
We use social media to spread the word to highlight the assets in our community. Help us connect with our community and share opportunities for healing, teaching, and learning led by us and our peacemaking partners across the city.

2. Participate in our programming
There’s a place for everyone at the Peace Institute. We have programming for survivors of homicide victims, incarcerated people, families of incarcerated loved ones, providers and public health stakeholders, teachers, faith leaders, and our suburban white allies.

3. Visit the Center of Healing Teaching and Learning
 We invite you to visit the Peace Institute and experience our safe, peaceful space. You can take a tour; sit in our library; see the Traveling Memorial Button Project; or try on Sand Tray/World Play. 

You are welcome to join us at Open House on the last Wednesday of every month
from 5-7pm. 

You can also call us any time at 617-825-1917 to make an appointment to be guided through a Sand Tray/World Play healing session.


4. Volunteer
Everyone has a part to play in the peacemaking process. We’re so grateful for the many volunteers who bring a wide range of skills and expertise to our team and share our vision for more peaceful communities. 

We occasionally have long-term volunteer positions that require a weekly commitment of hours. We will post those positions here when they are available. 

We also need volunteers for events and projects. If you’re interested in volunteering with the Peace Institute, please email info@ldbpeaceinstitute.org. While we may not ask you to volunteer in the moment, we will add you to our volunteer network and reach out when we need support.
